Hot Routt Music Festival (July 23, 2011)
      This summer, Hot Routt will be bringing the hottest new up and coming regional and national artists to downtown Steamboat Springs, CO. This all day/all night festival will take place on the banks of the beautiful Yampa river, on the festival lawn at Sweetwater Grill. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be going to the Friends of the Yampa, a river advocacy group who's mission is to protect and enhance the river's environmental and recreational integrity through stewardship, advocacy, education and partnerships.
Cowboys' Roundup Days (July 1 - July 4, 2011)
     For over 100 years Steamboat has celebrated Independence Day in true western fashion. Cowboys' Roundup Days celebrates the Western Heritage native to the Yampa Valley with events for the entire family. Kick back in your boots at several community events including, a community all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, the annual parade down Lincoln Avenue, Pioneer Days Block Party featuring a free community concert and root beer floats for the kids, evening rodeo, and one of the states largest fireworks display.
Steamboat Wine Festival (Aug 4 - 7, 2011)
     Join us at the Annual Steamboat Wine Festival at Steamboat. The Festival annually attracts over 3,000 attendees and is viewed as the "can't miss" event of the season. With nearly 800 wines, spirits, beer & some of the region's finest restaurants showcasing their talents, be sure to have the Steamboat Wine Festival on your calendar.
USA Pro Cycling Challenge (August 26 - 27, 2011)
     The USA Pro Cycling Challenge (formerly Quiznos Pro Challenge) is the most demanding bike race ever held on American soil, with racers experiencing breathless altitudes, day after day. The race is on the level of the Tour de France, bringing the high speeds, danger and adrenaline of professional biking to elevations over 2 miles high in some of the most picturesque terrain in the world—the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Steamboat Springs Triathlon (August 28, 2011)
     The Steamboat Triathlon returns to beautiful Lake Catamount. With spectacular mountains as a backdrop, triathletes swim 3/4 -mile in beautiful Lake Catamount, ride 20 miles on mostly flat paved roads, and end with a 4-mile run on mixed pavement and dirt roads. Proceeds from this year's event will go to the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation, benefiting non-profit organizations in the Yampa Valley.
Sisters in Steamboat Weekend (October 14 - 16, 2011)
     Imagine a weekend with no kids, no laundry, no chores... just time with your sisters, mother, cousins, girlfriends... shopping, dining, getting pampered and enjoying Steamboat Springs! The women in your life are very important to you. Often we don't take the time to plan to do fun things with those women we love. Life gets in the way. This is a special event just for women that you can start planning for now.
Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series (Ongoing)
     The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series is the most successful weekly rodeo in the country. While the roots of rodeo in this modest little Northwestern Colorado ranch town/world class ski resort trace back over 100 years. All performances are held at Romick Arena located in the Howelsen Hill Park Complex owned by the City of Steamboat Springs.
String Music Festival (Ongoing)
     Throughout the summer, enjoy chamber music concerts every Wednesday and Saturday evenings, the American Express Different Tempo Series, Youth and Family Concerts every Tuesday and free Music on the Green performances at the Yampa River Botanic Park every Thursday. With a schedule like this, there's simply no excuse to miss a Strings production.
Mustang Roundup (June 16 - 19, 2011)
     More than 400 Mustang owners from Rocky Mountain Mustang clubs will convene in Steamboat for activities, including a timed event on Friday and a "Show and Shine" on Lincoln Avenue on Saturday. Spectators are welcome at the Meadows parking lot located at the corner of Mt. Werner Road and Pine Grove Road for Friday's Autocross. Over 180 Ford Mustangs compete in this timed event. Saturday's Show 'n Shine is a car lovers dream. Over 400 Ford Mustangs are lined up and down Lincoln Avenue for display.
Hot Air Balloon Rodeo & Art in the Park (July 9 - 10, 2011)
     Join us for the most anticipated and colorful weekends of the summer. The Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and the Annual Art in the Park have become a staple of Steamboat in the Summertime. On Saturday, start your day at Bald Eagle Lake for a spectacular early-morning affair as you watch over 40 hot air balloons rise softly from the mist and drift over the Yampa Valley. Afterwards make your way over to West Lincoln Park for Steamboat's biggest arts and crafts festival.
Steamboat All Arts Festival (August 18 - 21, 2011)
     The Steamboat All Arts Festival is the newest and most collaborative event in Steamboat Springs, CO. It is a four-day event that highlights the amazing arts and culture in the Yampa Valley while featuring nationally-renowned artists. The festival incorporates all aspects of the arts into one cohesive event including dance, vocal, musical, visual, literary and culinary arts. Experiential and educational workshops will be available all weekend and open to all levels.
Wild West Air Fest and Labor Day Weekend Celebration (September 3 - 4, 2011)
     Labor Day Weekend in Steamboat is packed with entertainment in the air, on the mountain and all over town! It's a Labor Day celebration for the whole family. The Wild West Air Fest features vintage and warbird static aircraft display, classic cars, radio controlled airplane shows, hang gliders, para-gliders, Wings Over the Rockies KidSpace and much more!
Eriksen Cycles Tour de Steamboat (July 16th, 2011)
     The Tour de Steamboat takes place on Saturday, July 16th. Join this great ride in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado that benefits the The Sunshine Kids Foundation.
Steamboat OktoberWest (September 16 - 18, 2011)
     Celebrate the season at a Steamboat-style Oktoberfest with music, food, beer, games and activities for kids and adults, chef competition and much more. We're taking all the German Oktoberfest traditions and stamping them with Steamboat's western brand. No German beer here, just good ol' Rocky Mountain beer, food and festivities.
Steamboat Springs FREE Summer Concert Series (Ongoing)
     The Steamboat Springs FREE Summer Concert Series is a Steamboat summer tradition with five free concerts throughout the summer. Come down to the Howelsen Hill amphitheater, in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs, for a night of FREE live music. Don't forget your picnic blanket, chair and dancing shoes! The free concerts start around 5:00 p.m. with an opening band and then the main act to follow. There will be food vendors, kids activities and beer sales at the concert. No alcohol or dogs can be brought into the concert.
